I dig cityscapes, and I dig night photography.
It feels like travelling through to another world, a mirror image of the day world.
I'm drawn to the light in the distance.
Hong Kong is a place that I'd love to visit. I hope it's not become like this all over the place, because I want to visit the cramped streets, walk around them at night, blasted by neon lights and narrow openings to the sky through buildings crowded with wires, signs and balconies.
Crowded streets with people lit from all directions by different coloured lights moving in close proximity, having to push each other to get where they want to be.
Little stalls preparing snacks and food, filling the tight streets with all kinds of aromas, some good, some bad, coming together to add to the claustrophobic & thrilling atmosphere.
That's the Hong Kong I'd love to see. This is a beautiful picture, but I want to see that side of Hong Kong as well, the contrasting personalities of a city... sounds like a great project, and with your eye for composition and colour, it'll look stunning. Blurred trails behind people in a sharp and complex environment.
You've taken a shot I've seen a hundred times from a hundred different cities, and managed to make it anything but trite. This shot works really well - I love the colors, and it's crisp features. Excellent. I look forward to exploring the rest of your work.
